It was a big night for the Decorah bowling program Friday as both the girls and boys picked up victories at Lilac Lanes in West Union.
Facing North Fayette Valley, it was the second win for both squads, improving them to 2-0.
The girls produced a score of 2,718 to NFV’s 2,184. Baker scores for the Vikes were 187, 168, 233, 169 and 151.
“Bowling a 2,718 on the second night out is a special score. I was impressed with our energy and discipline on spares,” said coach Keith Bruening. “This group of girls is special and has lofty goals. We need to keep working hard on our game and improving. All the girls were over 300.”
Karlie Einck produced a big night. She had a 190 and 219 to lead the way. Marri Feuerhelm also was strong with a 199 and 203. Other Viking scores were Jasera Tweten (168, 188), Rylee Averhoff (156, 173), Addison Wicklund (162, 144) and Kennady Riehle (140, 174).
