‘… needs of the people should be served by the supervisors’

By Laurie Worcester, Decorah

Dear Editor:

The Freeport Controversey has created such unhappiness and threads of hatred. Something needs to happen to bring the people together. One idea would be to allow the residents of Freeport or a community group the opportunity to do a fundraiser to see if they can raise the money to purchase the land. The supervisors would give the people a reasonable amount of time in order to fund the project.

No one can predict what the flooding situation will be in the future. Anyone who has had to live through a flooding situation will say that the aftermath of a flood is devastating.

The needs of the people should be served by the supervisors.
