Wayne Thomas Dawley, 73, of Millville, Minn., was born on Jan. 30, 1947 to Clifford and Betty (Bentley) Dawley. He was born in rural Bluffton IA, via tele phone during a blizzard. He passed away peacefully at his home near Millville Sept. 20, 2020. Wayne attended North Winneshiek High School. In 1968 Wayne began his family with Bonnie Brookins. In March of 1997, he continued to grow his family in love with a marriage to Virgetta “Jett” Bearden.
Wayne started his career as a farmer in Bluffton. Then he was employed as a maintenance electrician for Crane and Tyson in SE Iowa where he retired in January 2009. He and his family moved to Millville in 2010. He loved his family, visiting friends at random, and taking random drives, but he never went anywhere too fast. Wayne enjoyed good conversations about horses and mules, working on projects, gadgets, coon hunting, and so much more. If you befriended him, you were likely a friend for life. When parting ways with friends and family he would always say “glad you got to see me.” Wayne was a very kind and soft spoken man.
