URBAN KRIENER, 76, of Waucoma, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, from the results of a motor vehicle accident. Mass of Christian burial is at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 16, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, in St. Lucas, with Rev. Aaron Junge presiding. Burial is in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church and also after 9:30 a.m., at the church Thursday morning. Arrangements are being handled by Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah. Urbie is survived by his loving wife: Trish; two daughters, Marjie (Blake) Batkoff of Buffalo Grove, Ill. and Laura (Mike) Goldberg of Elgin, Ill.; daughter-in-law, Anne Kriener of Ossian; six grandchildren: Zak (friend Libby Manning) Kriener of West Union; Mak (Hanna) Kriener of Cresco; Keegan (Dan) Luzum Decorah; Brett and Brittany Batkoff and Kyle Goldberg; step-children: Sheila (Lupe) Solis of Henrietta, Okla.; Allen (Marsheila) Prior of Beggs, Okla.; and Heather Garner of McKinney, Texas.; step-grandchildren: Michael Giles, Blake (David) Stork, Ashley Hegwer, Natalie Hegwer and Zakary Garner; great-grandchildren: Stella Giles, Kenley Falck and Rylen Luzum; three sisters: Agnes Soukup of Ridgeway; Rita Gerleman of Decorah; and Ann (Jack) Herold of Fort Atkinson; one brother, Clarence Kriener of Lawler; sisters-in-law, Leona Kriener of Cresco and Connie (Kevin) Gentz of Colesberg; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
