STANLEY ARNESON, 90, of Decorah died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at Aase Haugen Senior Services. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the Big Canoe Lutheran Churc,h with Rev. Curt Bockoven presiding. Burial is in the church cemetery.Visitation is after 10 a.m. at the church Wednesday morning. Stanley is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret; three daughters: Mary Tekippe, Decorah; Cindy (Tom) Rima, Decorah; Deb (Jay) Schiltz, Minneapolis, Minn.; nine grandchildren: Jason (Cori) Graves, Telluride, Colo.; Melinda (special friend, Todd Hamilton) Graves, Redding, Calif.; Sarah (Derek Skolnik) Tekippe, Glenview, Ill.; Tina Tekippe, Kansas City, Mo.; Michelle Rima, West Des Moines; Stephanie Rima, Minneapolis, Minn.; Ben, Eva and Berit Schiltz all of Minneapolis, Minn.; great-grandchildren: Nyle Lienhard, Lily Graves, Alex Graves, Makayla Sales, Colin Skolnik and Simone Skolnik; brothers, Paul (Bernice) Arneson, Decorah and Ralph (Shirley) Arneson, Decorah; brother-in-law, Earl Albertson, Cresco; Jim Erickson, Mabel, Minn.; along with many very close friends of Stanley and Margaret.
