Marguerite (Babe) Lepa

Marguerite (Babe) Lepa of Decorah, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018; just three days shy of her 98th birthday. She died at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah, where she had been living for the last five years. Memorial services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Christian Life Center, 2513 River Road, Decorah, with Pastor Doug Bryce officiating.

Marguerite (Babe) Mae (Anderson) Lepa was born Oct. 5, 1920, in Decorah, the daughter of Otto and Josephine (Schaub) Anderson. She graduated from Decorah High School with the class of 1938.

Babe is survived by daughter, Katharine (Donald) Zabel; grandchildren Michael (Grace) Zabel and Denise (Peter) Fuglestad; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Babe was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Josephine Anderson; and her sister, Virginia Monson.
