Lorraine Wilma Lager

Lorraine Wilma Lager, 80, entered her heavenly home Oct. 3, 2015. A family mass was held Saturday, Oct. 10, at St. Anne’s Chapel in Winona, Minn. Martin-Myhre Funeral Home has assisted with arrangements.

Lorraine was born to the late Leonard and Wilma (Kinneberg) Kragness in Spring Grove, Minn. on May 15, 1935. After graduating from Spring Grove High School in 1953, she married Robert [Corky] J. Lager, Jr. Nov. 6, 1954, in Caledonia, Minn. A devout farmer’s wife, she also worked as a chiropractic assistant and an overnight cashier at Wiebke Oil. Corky and Lorraine raised four children: the late Robert [Bob] Lager III (Chris Pryzbilla), Gary Lager (Yvonne), Mark Lager (Sonia) and Sharon Gates (Joseph).  Lorraine has eight grandchildren: Angela and Robert (Bo) IV, James and Melissa, Eric and Alex, Mia Loran and Claire. She was the oldest child, followed by Leighton Kragness (Joan), the late Audrejean Myrah (Ed), Leonard (Sonny) Kragness, Larry Johnson, Dean Johnson (Betty) and Cindy Huber (Charlie). In addition to her famous Rice Krispy Bars, Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her family, photography, shopping and collecting strawberries.
