LEANDER CHARLES STAMMEYER, 99, (long time resident of St. Lucas), died Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Hillcrest Assisted Living, Sumner, where he was currently a resident. Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 a.m., Monday, June 8, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in St. Lucas, with Rev. Nick Radloff presiding. Burial in the church cemetery with full military rites. Visitation after 9:30 a.m. at the church Monday morning. The family wishes are that everyone practice social distancing. The Schluter-Balik Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Lee is survived by his five children: Dan (Carol) Stammeyer, Marion; Mary Leah (Mike) Johns, Hereford, Ariz.; Terry (Carol) Stammeyer, Schueyville; Kevin (Marilyn) Stammeyer, St. Paul, Minn.; and John (Tina) Stammeyer, Newton; along with nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; brothers: Frank, Joseph, David (Jackie); sister, Anita; sisters-in-law, Julie Tallman and Cindy Stammeyer; along with many nieces and nephews.
