JERRY “JD” DEAN, 55, of Decorah, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah. Gravesides services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016 in Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, with Pastor Bruce Thomas officiating. A memorial celebration of life service is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at Decorah High School Auditorium, with Pastor Dave Sorenson officiating. JD is survived by his father and step-mother, Harold “Tex” and Nancy Dean of Boone; and his sister, Wendy Fergusson of Orangevale, Calif. Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah is serving the family.
