Janice Storlie

She was born June 5, 1938 in Winneshiek County Iowa, to Grant and Ruth (Sanness) Hanson. Janice graduated from Spring Grove Public School.
On June 9, 1956, Janice married Owen Storlie at Big Canoe Lutheran Church in rural Decorah, Iowa. Janice was Owen’s bookkeeper for many years on the farm, and for Owen’s automobile restoration business. Owen preceded Janice in death on Dec. 17, 2008.

She had also worked at Northern Engraving and IGA in Spring Grove.

Janice was a very active member of Riceford Lutheran Church in rural Spring Grove and later at
Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was involved in Love Day, ladies aid, and also in Garden Club.

Survivors include her children Neil (Kristi) Storlie of Spring Grove, Patty Solie and Bruce Storlie of Highlandville; Sharon ‘Chip’ (Rick) Storlie, Spring Grove, Minn.; and Brenda (Dan) Ardinger of Mabel, Minn.; grandchildren: Jeremiah (Brandi) Solie, Danielle (Joe) Sheets, Kala (Solie) Teff, Tyler Solie, Laura (Jared) Hanson, Matt (Jennifer) Storlie, Chelsey (Luke) Brummond, Lindsey (Zack) Curran, Meghan and Andrew Storlie; great-grandchildren: Harlee, Carson, Reagan, Owen, Otis, Ellie, Sophia, Paige, Baileigh, Brielle, Aiva, Taydem, Brayden, Aubrey, Maddox, Zayd, Zander, and Leva; and her sisters: Doris (Sanford) Morken of Pine Island, Minn.; and sister-in-law Ardys Glasrud of Byron, Minn.
In addition to her parents Grant and Ruth and her husband Owen, Janice was preceded in death by her grandson Peter, brothers Don and Bob (and his wife Marvis) Hanson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 11 a.m.at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove.
Burial will be in the Riceford Lutheran Cemetery
Pastor Elizabeth Hermeier will officiate.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 11, from 4 to 7 p.m.at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
