GLEN THORNTON, 90, of Decorah, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, at Wellington Place in Decorah. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at the Decorah Lutheran Church, 309 Winnebago Street, Decorah, with Rev. Dave Sorenson and Rev. Brenda Crossfield presiding. Visitation is from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave. in Decorah and also after 10 a.m. at the church Friday morning. Glen is survived by his wife, DeLoris; children: Larry (Lorris) Thornton, Shawkopee, Minn.; Al (Tammy) Thornton, Decorah; Denise (Leonard) Ziech, Merrill, Wis.; Lori (fiancé, Jeff) Vetter, Grimes and Jenny (Paul) Butler, Decorah; grandchildren: Melissa Osterhovt, Angie Osterhovt and Amanda (Jesse) St. James; Ashlee (Sean) Whitehead, Raisa (Daniel) Brashi; Adam (Lana) Thornton, Lucas (Sam) Thornton and Taisha (fiancé, Tanner) Thornton; Tanner Schultz; Rachel (Tim) Davis, Kirsten (Danny) Gannon and Emily Vetter; Sam Donlan and Seth Butler; 23 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
