Davis W. Johnson, age 76, of Decorah, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his loving family at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Private family funeral aervices will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2021 at Washington Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Decorah, with Rev. Dr. Jennifer Edinger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Public  visitation to greet the family will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah.

In consideration of concerns regarding COVID-19, wearing of a mask and social distancing is required.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Lillian, his brother Dennis, his mother and father-in-law Vernon and Delores Rovang.

Davis is survived by his wife, Shirley; his two sons Darin (Misty) and Devin (Carmen); his grandchildren, Jace, Emma, Dakota, Dillan, and Demi; his siblings Wanda (Ron) Hemesath and Mark Johnson, sister-in-law, Linda Johnson; brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Betty Schuman; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
