David N. Aga

David N. Aga, 73, of Ridgeway, passed away at home Dec. 22, 2017. A celebration of Dave’s life is Saturday, Jan. 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Dave was born Dec. 20, 1944, in Cresco, to Norman and Agnes (Anderson) Aga.
Dave grew up in Ridgeway and graduated from Crestwood High School in 1962.
Dave and his father, Norman, worked together at Aga Texaco in Ridgeway. Dave then enrolled in Kirkwood Community College and studied electronics. He enlisted in the US Navy and was a sonarman on the USS Radford during the Vietnam War. Dave started working at GTE as a lineman in 1971 and had a long, successful career, retiring as a switchman in 2007.

Dave and Theresa (Mackenburg) Aga were married March 2, 1973. Dave fulfilled his childhood dream of owning and working his own farm where he and Theresa lived until his death.

Dave is survived by his wife, Theresa; his children, Beth (Brent) Larson, Andrea (Al) Lentini and Ben (Melissa) Aga; eight grandchildren: Luke, Cale, Gabe and Owen Larson; Luke and Lucy Lentini; Eli and Isaac Aga; his sister Normie Ferrie; along with four brothers-in-laws, two sisters-in-laws and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Norman; his mother, Agnes; and sister Mary Bergan.
