DALE OTTESON, 83, of Decorah, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wis. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave in Decorah. Burial is in the Freeport Cemetery. Visitation is after 9:30 a.m. at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave in Decorah Thursday morning. The Schluter-Balik Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Dale is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn; three children: Donna (Frank) O’Neill, Waukon; Edward Otteson, Pearl, Miss.; and Jerry (Cathy) Otteson, Sun Prairie, Wis.; one sister, Mavis (Darrell) Mitchell; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orrie and Helen (Overacker) Otteson and sister, Esther (Wilbur) Houck.
