Connie Kay Duffield, 62, of Postville, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Postville. There also is a one-hour visitation before services at the church Wednesday. Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Community Presbyterian Church in Postville, with Rev. Kate Rupert as the officiant. Burial will follow at Postville Cemetery, Postville. Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Postville, Iowa is heling the family with arrangements.
Connie was born July 4, 1957, to LaVerne and Delores (Hesse) Wedo in Postville.
She graduated from Postville High School in 1976.
Most of Connie’s life she was a homemaker, but also worked at the Turkey Plant in Postville. She loved being with her grandchildren and enjoyed camping and fishing.
Connie is survived by her children, Michael (Shalane) Duffield of Burr Oak, William (Mandy) Duffield of Elkader, Jessica Duffield of Postville and Samantha Duffield of Spearfish, S.D.; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Peterson of Arizona and Randy Wedo of Ossian; and one sister, Cheryl Bock of Postville.
Preceding Connie in death were her parents, LaVerne and Delores Wedo; and her aunts and uncles, Jane and Ed Boese, Irma Van Way, Louis and Eileen Wedo and Donald Hesse.
