Vote for Decorah in community video contest

Decorah is entered in the 3rd annual #IowansUnite Community Video Contest. Now, just 500 community votes are needed before 5 p.m. on June 29 to move to the next round of competition. The public is invited to show support for Decorah by voting at https://woobox.com/oqhd3r/gallery/obbdIeLTRN8.

Hosted by the Iowa Economic Development Authority and Iowa Finance Authority, cities, municipalities, and economic development organizations around the state were invited to submit creative videos, less than 1 min in length, showcasing residents and visitors, hometown spirit, and area support for small businesses. Communities participating in the contest have the chance to win a one-of-a-kind mural designed and installed by Iowa artist Ben Schuh.

Following the online voting period, June 26 through June 29, communities meeting the designated vote threshold will become finalists. Finalists will receive an additional assignment to showcase their community spirit. An independent panel of judges will review and score all assignments submitted, along with the initial video entry. The community with the highest score will win the contest and custom mural.
