Two new members have been introduced on the Board of Trustees at Vesterheim, the National Norwegian-American Museum and Folk Art School in Decorah.
Vesterheim, the National Norwegian-American Museum and Folk Art School, announces two new members to its board of trustees – Jansen Dahl and Greg Boman.
Vesterheim has a national board with 24 members from 11 states.
Jansen Dahl received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1999 and moved back to his home state of Wisconsin to join Pinkerton Services Group in their DOT and non-DOT testing services division in 2001. When the company merged with Choice Point Services, Inc., Jansen decided to join the family automobile business in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Since he joined Dahl Automotive in 2005, they have expanded to six dealership locations in two states. He is currently the Vice President of Dahl Automotive Holdings. Jansen and his wife Kim have three children. Greg Boman attended Waldorf College, graduating from Texas Lutheran and also from the seminary. He worked alongside his father Gerald Boman at Winnebago Industries in Forest City, Iowa, and was a leader in the company’s marketing strategies. In 1999, he and his wife Becky and their family moved to Castle Rock, Colorado.
Greg Boman has owned and operated businesses in downtown Castle Rock and is a civic leader who has been influential in the growth and development of the community. Recently, he has owned and managed, with his daughter, the Emporium – a merchant mall of 60 merchants carefully selected and curated. Recognized as the 2016 Small Business Person of the Year in Castle Rock, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Council of Castle Rock. Boman serves on the Board of Directors of the Hanson Family Foundation, a private family foundation that gives back to communities and enhances the quality of life for individuals in north central Iowa. He is also on the Board of Directors of MBT Bank, with locations in Iowa and Minnesota.
