Stroller Walk program returns

The Decorah Public Library is promoting the return of its Stroller Walk Program, a weekly event encouraging parents and caregivers to get active with their young children while enjoying the beautiful scenery around Decorah.

The Stroller Walk Program will take place Thursdays in May at 9 a.m., weather permitting. The walks will be led by a library staff member and will begin at Dug Road (Trout Run Trail) at the parking lot near West Main.

“Our Stroller Walk Program is an excellent opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with others in the community while enjoying time outdoors,” said Rachael Button, Children’s and Young Adult Librarian. “We are thrilled to offer this free program to our community and hope it will encourage more families to get out and explore Decorah.”

The Stroller Walk Program is designed for parents and caregivers with children ages 2 and under. Participants are encouraged to bring strollers, baby carriers, or wagons, as well as water bottles and sunscreen. The walks will be approximately 1-2 miles in length and will last about 45 minutes to an hour.

The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
