The City of Decorah is notifying residents of several upcoming street projects resulting in street and lane closures.
Water Street will be closed between Mechanic Street and Mill Street on Monday, Oct. 31. Traffic will be detoured to Heivly Street.
Another closure was announced on Monday, Oct. 31, when Water Street will also be closed between Montgomery Street and Riverside Avenue. Traffic will be detoured to Broadway Street.
Starting on Monday, Oct. 31, several street patching projects will begin at multiple locations around the City. Work on the patches is expected to be completed over the next two weeks which will result in temporary street and lane closures in the following locations (detours will be set up for each project):· Montgomery Street. A lane closure will be set up in several locations. Two-way traffic will still be able to navigate through the construction work, but the center turn lane will not be available.· Short Street between Division Street and Paine Street.· The intersection of Day Street and Pearl Street.· The south side of the intersection of Main Street and State Street.· The intersection of Washington Street and Railroad Avenue.
City officials said that on Tuesday, Nov. 1, College Drive will have one lane closed between Locust Road and the Luther College entrance near Baker Village. Flaggers will be set up to help traffic navigate through the construction work.Residents should expect delays when traveling through these areas. The construction schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.
