Pork month ‘Feed The Pig’ fundraiser supports local food pantries

Decorah and Cresco Bank & Trust, in collaboration with the Lynch Family Foundation and Gillette Pepsi Corporation (GPC), announced the “Feed The Pig” community fundraiser.

This event aims to celebrate National Pork Month this October by providing support to local food pantries throughout the region.

The three organizations have teamed up to match community-raised funds to make a significant difference in the lives of those in need. Decorah and Cresco Bank & Trust have committed to matching up to $2,500 in funds raised. GPC has also pledged to match up to $2,500, while the Lynch Family Foundation promises to match up to the same amount in pork donations. This implies that every dollar donated by the generous community will be tripled, up to a total of $7,500.

Local residents can make donations in the form of cash or checks at any Decorah and Cresco Bank & Trust branch location. For added convenience, checks can be made payable to one of three area food pantries: Northeast Iowa Community Action Corp, Decorah Community Food Pantry or Greater Area Food Pantry.

Join in the spirit of giving and help make a meaningful impact for those in need during this National Pork Month.
