Poetry Slam Reunion at T-Bocks Nov. 17

ArtHaus, a creative hub for all things artistic in Decorah, announced the much-anticipated ArtHaus Poetry Slam Reunion, scheduled for Nov. 17. Organizers say the poetic extravaganza will take place at T-Bocks Upstairs starting at 7 p.m.

The ArtHaus Poetry Slam Reunion promises an unforgettable evening of lyrical ingenuity, providing a platform for local wordsmiths and poetry enthusiasts to come together, celebrate their passion for the written and spoken word, and share their artistic talents.

Event organizers said the event is not just a gathering; it’s an opportunity to let creativity flow and connect with like-minded individuals.

Those interested must sign up to perform. Advance registration to read original poetry is available on ArtHaus’ official website at arthausdecorah.org.

The performance costs for all participants are underwritten by Dragonfly Books, a  local independent bookstore that has a deep appreciation for the arts and community engagement. Limited spots available so register now.

“ArtHaus is thrilled to host this Poetry Slam Reunion, and we’re immensely grateful for the support from Dragonfly Books,” said Shannon Durbin, ArtHaus’ Executive Director. “This event exemplifies the power of local businesses coming together to celebrate and nourish the arts in our community.”

ArtHaus invites everyone, from seasoned poets to those who are simply curious, to come and experience the magic of spoken word in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

“Don’t miss this chance to be a part of the vibrant creative tapestry that defines Decorah and its artistic community,” Durbin continued.

In addition to the thrilling performances at the ArtHaus Poetry Slam Reunion, attendees can also explore and purchase “Live at the Elks: A Poetry Slam Anthology” by the author Keith Leismeister. This anthology, filled with the raw and compelling works of local poets, provides a unique opportunity to take home a piece of the evening’s creative energy. Copies of the anthology will be available for purchase both on the ArtHaus website and at the event, allowing poetry enthusiasts to further immerse themselves in the rich literary landscape of Decorah. Don’t miss the chance to own this literary gem and relive the magic of the Poetry Slam Reunion in the pages of “Live at the Elks.”
