On Monday, Aug. 23, Decorah Public Schools had their first day of classes. Additionally, they had their first major incident, as 18-year-old Decorah High School student Brandon Quam went missing early in the day. He has since been found, and is safe, but there was widespread concern for the young man in the nearly 12 hours he was reported missing.
