Nordic Dancer tryouts scheduled Oct. 19

All Decorah 3rd graders in public, private and home schools are welcome to tryout to become a Junior Nordic Dancer.

Nearly 500 dancers and musicians have proudly entertained and represented Decorah at home and around the world for decades.

The dancers are among the highlights at every Nordic Fest, and the junior and senior dancer groups and orchestra perform several times during the three-day Fest each July.

Practice for those interested will take place Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Carrie Lee Gym, and another practice also will take place Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Middle School Gym.
Tryouts will be Thursday, Oct. 19, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Carrie Lee Gym.
Directors said, “This is an exciting opportunity for your child and please consider joining us.”
They added that they are currently looking for two 8th grade boys to join the Senior Nordic Dancers group.
“If your son is interested please reach out to one of the directors,” noted Al Weis and Ann Grimstad, two of the Nordic Dancer Directors.
