New board members
At the beginning of Monday’s meeting, newly-elected Board members Carole Sand, Brian Petersburg and Aaron Zander took oaths of office. The three Decorah residents were elected to four-year terms on the Board in the Nov. 7 election. They join current Board members Cindy Goodner, who was elected Board President Monday night, and Ron Fadness, who will now serve as Board Vice President.
Board members voted to conduct future monthly meetings at 6:30 p.m. from October through February; and at 5:30 p.m. during the remaining months of the year. Any changes in that schedule would be published on the District’s website.
Outgoing Board members John Hjelle and Ben Lange were presented plaques and thanked for their many years of service on the DCSD Board. Lange had also served on the North Winneshiek School Board of Directors for many years.
