‘Let the Ghoul Times Roll’ event to be held in McGregor

The McGregor/Marquette Chamber of Commerce has announced its annual Halloween Parade will take place in McGregor, on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. on Main Street. Main Street will be completely open and free of construction for this event.

The chamber encourages any interested businesses or groups to participate, for free, in the parade. Prizes will be given for the best walking entry, best decorated vehicle and the best float. To register for the parade, visit forms.gle/pF8qos3nqyZr53ST9. The parade route will follow Main Street, beginning at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church and ending just past Triangle Park.

The chamber said it will “continue to ‘Let The GHOUL Times Roll’ after the parade from 11-1 p.m.,” with a family festival centered in and around Triangle Park. There will be a costume contest, pie-baking contest, kids’ carnival games and performances from Halloween carolers, The Star Power Dance Team and our very own Witches Dance Group.

Inside the Backwoods Event Center, at 111 First Street, Bateman & Palucci will be playing smooth jazz. Touch of Chaos Tarot will offer tarot-card readings and pie slices will be available for a suggested donation of $4 per slice after the judging is completed. There will be free caricatures by local artist Cary Kann inside the Left Bank Gallery, 158 Main Street until 12:30. At 226 Main, there will be a free wand making workshop led by Kelli Boylen from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. First Lutheran Church on Swede Ridge will be serving brats, hot dogs, chips, and popcorn will be sold by Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. Other fun activities include face painting, temporary tattoos and a roaming balloon artist.
