Inspired Skin Care connects faith with natural products

Ruth Boden of Waukon was inspired to share her talent for mixing scents and textures for custom skincare products when she started Ruth’s Gift. 

“I realized God had given me a unique gift that allowed me to create this skincare line, and I could donate a portion of the proceeds to charities that help people,” Boden stated. 

Inspired Skin Care was the product of that gift.

Her lip balm products have a spiritual and ethical intent attached to each tube. Aptly named Faith Sticks, they share her inspiration by providing an inspirational scripture on each tube. 

“By incorporating a scripture into established daily routines, like applying lip balm, we consistently work on our connection to God,” she explained.

She also made sure the products were eco-friendly, with all-natural ingredients packaged in biodegradable, recyclable, renewable push up tubes. The products are all hand-made right here in the Driftless and are tested with friends and family and never with animals. 

Find Ruth Boden at festivals and fairs across the Driftless, or Faith Sticks in Waukon at Say Now and The Copy Shoppe. In Lansing they are at Coffee on the River or A Touch of Class Beauty Salon.

“I hope to help people put faith on their lips, so we can talk right to the people we meet and carry out God’s plan for us all. We may be new to the area, but I am so glad we’re here – I love this town and this area,” Boden shared.  

Future products in the works includes a line of body butters, with a portion of the proceeds of all her products to support charitable organizations.
