A Lenten Recital Series featuring a variety of music will be held on three Wednesdays during Lent, from 12:15 tp 12:45 p.m., in the Good Shepherd Sanctuary.
All recitals are free and open to the public.
The series kicks off on March 15, featuring world renowned organist Jean-Baptiste Robin.Robin is regarded as one of the most prominent French concert organists and composers of today. With his appointment in 2010 as Organist of the Royal Chapel at the Palace of Versailles, he secured a place in a long line of famous French organists, such as François Couperin, Louis Marchand, Louis-Claude Daquin, and Claude Balbastre. He also serves as Professor of Organ and Composition at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Versailles.
On March 22, musicians from the Good Shepherd community will perform a program of solo and chamber music.
On March 29, students from the organ studio of Alexander Meszler, college organist at Luther College, will perform.
