A former Decorah man turned himself in to local authorities last week, after being accused of sexually abusing multiple children over the course of several years.

Court records show Isaiah Alexander Yos-Eddy, age 18, of Waterloo faces eight counts of second-degree sexual abuse. Documents filed against Yos-Eddy said an employee of the Iowa Health and Human Services informed the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office of the allegations in late May of 2024. Criminal complaints in the case said three children had made statements to their parents regarding multiple incidents of abuse which allegedly occurred between 2019 and 2023, and Yos-Eddy was identified as the suspect — court documents filed Jan. 23, 2025, said each child was under the age of 12.

The now 18-year-old Yos-Eddy was interviewed by the sheriff’s office as part of the investigation, according to criminal complaints filed against him, and he allegedly admitted to abusing the children in multiple ways while he lived in Winneshiek County — the complaint went on to say Yos-Eddy allegedly “stated these sexual assaults occurred several times a week” during the period in question.
