DMS students excel at National History Day

Several 8th grade Decorah Middle School students participated in the regional National History Day (NHD) competition held at NICC in Calmar on March 19. Twelve DMS students were recognized as finalists in the competition and will participate at the NHD state meet in Des Moines on April 29. This year’s theme is “Turning Points in History”.

Iowa History Award winners were Kate Pattison and Camryn Quandahl for their project “Title IX”.
