Council approves local housing development’s shift to townhomes

Plans for a pair of proposed apartment buildings may be changing. 

Andy Anderson, a representative of Briar Grove Apartments and Echo Development, presented a request Monday night to the Decorah City Council, regarding the construction of four apartment buildings in the Decorah business park, located near Toppling Goliath on Sweet Parkway Drive. Two of the residential buildings have already been built, and Anderson said the developers want to change plans for the remaining two buildings — making them townhouses rather than apartments.
