Bowlers sought for youth mentoring bowl-a-thon

Youth Mentoring at Helping Services for Youth & Families is hosting a Bowl-A-Thon Sunday, March 26, at King Pin Entertainment Center in Decorah.

Youth Mentoring at Helping Services for Youth & Families is hosting a Bowl-A-Thon Sunday, March 26, at King Pin Entertainment Center in Decorah. This event aims to raise funds to connect youth in Allamakee, Howard and Winneshiek counties with a mentor. Currently, 63 people are involved in Youth Mentoring at Helping Services. Anyone can be involved in two important ways: register to bowl and/or donate to the cause.
Register by Friday, March 17, at www.helpingservices.org/YMBOWL. Register individuals or a team of five members to bowl, open to mentors and the public. Bowling times are 1:30, 3:00 and 4:30 p.m. Bowlers are encouraged to register soon as possible for a limited number of lanes.
Non-bowlers can still be involved. Donate online at www.helpingservices.org/YMBOWL or mail to PO Box 372, Decorah, or contribute to a bowler to support their team. All contributions are tax-deductible and supports mentoring.
State Farm Agent Paul Hudson shared, “We love being part of this event as both a sponsor and having our team bowl at the event. We love that our investment supports kids in the area and the families we serve. We challenge others to give generously and get a team ready to bowl!”
Mentors can spend time with their youth in the community doing things they enjoy together or they can meet them for one hour per week at their school in Decorah, Cresco and New Albin.
