ArtHaus to host Studio Tour “Preview” Sept. 1

ArtHaus in Decorah has announced “The Preview,” a special exhibition offering an exclusive glimpse into the captivating world of the annual Northeast Iowa Artists’ Studio Tour. Taking place at the Doyle G Heyveld Gallery within ArtHaus walls, this exhibition brings together the remarkable creations of artists from the picturesque Driftless Region of Northeast Iowa.

“The Preview” will be unveiled at an opening reception on Friday, Sept. 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. Art enthusiasts and the public alike are cordially invited to the event. During the reception, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the diverse artworks showcased in the exhibition while indulging in snacks and beverages.

This exclusive showcase captures the essence of the Northeast Iowa Artists’ Studio Tour, a renowned drive-yourself tour that encompasses 28 distinct locations and features the works of 38 local artists. ArtHaus is breaking tradition this year by presenting “The Preview,” providing a unique opportunity to experience a taste of the tour’s artistic brilliance before the official event, which will 30 take place from September 30 to October 1.

Event organizers said “The Preview” offers a unique chance for attendees to engage with the artworks in person, aiding them in planning their ultimate studio hopping route for the full tour experience. The majority of artworks featured in “The Preview” will be available for purchase throughout the duration of the exhibition, which concludes on Saturday, Oct. 1.

ArtHaus welcomes art enthusiasts to explore the gallery space during regular hours on Monday-Friday from 1 to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
