The 14th annual ArtHaus Masquerade Gala is Saturday, Oct. 29, from 7 to 10 p.m.
ArtHaus invites the community to come enjoy a night full of fun (lots of games), food (snacks and an Caramel Apple Bar), and art as at the annual ArtHaus Masquerade Gala on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Convergence Ciderworks in Decorah.
ArtHaus is celebrating 14 years of providing art programming to Decorah at the annual ArtHaus Masquerade Gala, sponsored by Decorah Bank and Trust.
The night will kick off with a silent auction at 7 p.m. More than 100 silent auction items including weekend getaways, private concerts, amazing food, custom art, and beauty packages are currently available online at 32auction.com and will be available at the gala.
A costume promenade, with cash prizes up to $100 is planned at 8 p.m. Costumes are optional, but ArtHaus encourages creative expression with chances to win for best costume, best mask, and other bests. Following the costume promenade will be the Art Dash Win, Lose, or Draw challenge, at 9 p.m. Tickets for the Art Dash can be added to event tickets being sold on eventbrite. Participants in the art dash play Win Lose or Draw to gain their chance to claim the artwork for their choice by guessing a drawing correctly. The locally made artwork is all valued over $100 and contains pieces by Tonya Balik, BenMoore, Joe Madrigal, Bonnie Koloc, Story People, Paul Corbin, Lauren Bonney, Mark Whelan, a special memorial piece by Eric Petersen-Brant, and a Salvador Dali print. There will be a raffle drawing to close the gala for an e-bike and an ipad. The raffle item and tickets are included as part of the online silent auction and can also be purchased at the gala. The raffle ticket drawing will be held at 9:30 p.m., and organizers said you do not have to be present to win.
If families are needing childcare during the event ArtHaus offers an add on option of a youth Halloween PJ party from 7 to 10 p.m. Spots are limited for this fun late night party where kids will get to make crafts, play games, and watch some child friendly Halloween shows. Advance tickets for the ArtHaus Masquerade Gala are available online. Tickets will also be available at the door for an additional fee. Ticket includes a mask or fun headband.
