As part of their 4-H County Council Leadership project, Caylie Adam and Ruby Timp are seeking donations of winter accessories, which will be given to elementary schools in Winneshiek County. New or gently-used items such as gloves, mittens, hats and scarves can be donated.

The items donated will be split between the different elementary schools in Winneshiek County and given to children in need who don’t come to school with the necessary winter gear, so they can be outside during recess in cold weather.

Donations can be dropped off at the following locations before Wednesday, Dec. 22: Winneshiek County Extension Office, 2316 Sweet Pkwy Rd., Decorah; Calmar Lutheran Church, 200 East St., Calmar; Saint Aloysius Church, 304 Maryville St., Calmar; Saint Wenceslaus Church, 207 Church St., Spillville.

For information, call Caylie Adam at 563-568-9757 or Ruby Timp at 563-380-8612.
