The 2023 Decorah Holiday theme is “Let it Snow” and the theme will be used during the holiday shopping season, including the upcoming Water Street Lighted Parade, scheduled Dec. 8.
The Friday evening parade will begin at 6 p.m., and travel from the east side of Water Street to the intersection of Water and Mill Streets. Registration to be included in the parade is open until Thursday, Dec. 7, and is available through the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce website, decorahareachamber.com/event/lighted-holiday-parade.
Santa Claus will be the Grand Finale of the parade, and will be at T-Bock’s Sports Bar & Grill’s second floor immediately following the parade for photos and festivities. Warm drinks and refreshments will be available, and photographs by Nick Chill will be available, free of charge, for download after the event.
The promotional Countdown to Christmas is going on now through Friday, Dec. 22. For every $25 spent at participating Decorah Area Chamber retail locations, shoppers will be entered for a chance to win one of 16 gift bags. Four winners will be drawn each Friday afternoon in December.
