Greetings from the Statehouse: Iowa’s economy is strong

For the current fiscal year, state revenues are expected to be $9.1711 billion through June 30. That amount is $110.5 million higher than what the Revenue Estimating Conference had forecast at their December meeting.

This week, the Iowa House passed a bill to set the percent growth for Supplemental State Aid for K-12 schools at 2.5%. This equates to a $159 million in new money for K-12 public schools.
