Luther Writers Festival begins Sept. 22

The Luther College Writers Festival returns to campus this month, featuring the award-winning and New York Times bestselling author Ross Gay as the keynote speaker. In addition to Gay, the festival will feature a broad coalition of 18 writers publishing in fiction, nonfiction and poetry. The festival begins Friday, Sept. 22, and ends Saturday, Sept. 23.

Two area names on ’40 Women to Watch’ Iowa Hospitality list

Area students honored for academic achievements and exam results

Seven students from Decorah High School – Lucas Arendt, Aidan Nalean-Carlson, Peter Essa, Aya Hawthorn, Mason Myers, Alexis Walker, and Henry Weis – have been selected as a College Board National Recognition Program awardee. Margret Zook, a former DHS student, also received the honor.
