Competing for the first time in more than a week, the Decorah girls’ basketball team (9-4, 4-1 NEIC) came up short at Prairie du Chien (10-4) Tuesday night, 58-53.

Teams were back in action after snowstorms hindered competitions last week with the South Winn girls’ basketball team (4-10, 3-6 UIC) traveling to Crestwood (4-8) Monday and falling, 50-31.

Vikings submerge Waterloo

In the final regular meet of the season, the Decorah boys’ swim team, winning over Waterloo 117 to 50, but falling to Iowa City West 107.50 to 62.50 in the double dual.
Two Vikings won individual gold with four events bringing home five silver and five others bronze.

Decorah High School boys’ tennis coach, Matt Anderson has been selected by the Iowa High School Athletic Association as the National Federation of High Schools Iowa Tennis Coach of the Year.

Meyer, Jansen win at Crestwood
