Monday, October 18, 2021 1:37 pm
Four games down, one to go in district action and the Decorah football team (6-2, 4-0) is eyeing the district title once again after blanking Waterloo East (1-7, 0-4) at home Friday night, 37-0.
“Our team played a solid game. Waterloo East was very aggressive with their blitzes and we were able to pick up many of them. We would have liked to rush the ball more, but we were able to pass it with effectiveness and our special teams and defense were excellent. Any time you can shut a team out, you must have had a good night defensively and on special teams,” said Coach Pat Trewin.
