It was the quite an offensive show for the Turkey Valley football team (3-1, 2-0) Friday night for homecoming as the Trojans defeated Janesville (1-5, 0-3), 61-8.
“This was a good homecoming win as the players executed well in all phases of the game. Playing the major portion of the first half on our side of the field allowed us to score quickly. The defense was aggressive and ran to the ball very well. We ran 23 offensive plays in the first half to score 55 points. It was a good game to allow the younger players to play on Homecoming night,” said Coach Mark Scott.

Tuesday, September 27, 2022 1:22 pm

It wasn’t how South Winn students and fans wanted to celebrate homecoming.
The Warrior football team (2-3, 2-2) hosted district-leader North Linn (4-1, 4-0) Friday night, falling 42-7.
“We knew going in we were facing a tough challenge. North Linn has a solid veteran group of kids, and they played a great game,” said Coach Jason Ohrt. “We moved the ball well at times, but credit North Linn’s defense as they limited our explosive plays for most of the night. I thought our kids did a nice job of gathering themselves at halftime as we came out and played a much better second half.”
