Trojans to face No. 6 Rebels Friday at home

Wednesday, October 26, 2022 3:32 pm

The Turkey Valley football team is moving on in the eight-man playoffs.
The Trojans (6-1) defeated Ed-Co (4-3) Friday night in Jackson Junction, 71-42. The Red and White will now host sixth-ranked Gladbrook-Reinbeck (8-1) Friday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m.
“This was a hard fought game as Ed-Co kept making plays to keep them in the game,” said Coach Mark Scott. “We had some big plays on offense and defense. On defense we had a couple of red zone stops, two big interceptions by Noah Hanson and Carson Busta, along with a huge fourth-down sack by Ryan Franzen just before halftime that gave us an opportunity to score.”
